Software Engineer

The Software Engineer is an individual contributor within a team, responsible for analysis, design, programming, testing, documentation, and deployment of software for data and user interface applications. The software engineer will work on cross-functional team projects, as well as individual projects.

Systems and Network Administrator

The Systems & Network Administrator is responsible for providing technical and administrative support for the company’s Network, Servers, Workstations, Voice Communications System, and related application software. The Systems & Network Administrator will install, maintain and repair servers, workstations, network connectivity and a variety of related peripheral equipment. The position is also responsible for ensuring security over access to systems and data, and that data is adequately protected and archived to ensure high availability of services for our participants and staff.

Process & Deployment Manager

XchangeWorx, Inc. (Albany, NY) seeks a Process & Deployment Manager to be responsible for developing and implementing business and workflow processes throughout the company, as well as for overseeing all software deployments to the production environment. This manager will work with senior management and key technical contributors to define and implement workflow processes for Xchangeworx project lifecycles. The steps to be defined include: Project request and approval, architecture & design, development, test, deployment, and post deployment monitoring & testing. The P&D manager will research best-fit processes such as Agile, RUP, Xtreme Programming, and (where available,) and will work with the rest of the Xchangeworx management team to implement these processes, train and mentor staff, and track performance. This manager will also work with the development team and the Manager of Exchange Operations to manage deployment of software and system changes to the exchange. Responsibilities in this role include: verifying and deploying all software changes to the Health Information Exchange. For each software change to the Exchange, the Deployment Manager verifies that the development process has been followed, design requirements have been met, documentation is complete, and testing has been successfully completed. The Deployment Manager then migrates the software to the production environment and verifies that it behaves as expected. The Deployment Manager maintains clean, detailed and complete technical documentation of the changes and enhancements being made. The Process & Deployment Manager must communicate with technical and nontechnical contacts both internally and externally in order to develop processes and deploy production changes. Work as part of a cross-functional team to understand business needs, develop and refine processes for developing technology to meet business objectives. Develop, document, follow, and enforce technology development and deployment management policies. Train and mentor team members in following the processes. Ensure that established software engineering practices are followed including testing, code reviews, security reviews, and documentation. Develop new processes and practices as appropriate. Perform all activities associated with a new release of system code or functionality including stakeholder communications, release planning, software modification, documentation, and support.  Plan and coordinate system code deployment activities for timely completion and minimal system disruption. Maintain configuration management documentation for reference and architectural inventory purposes. Enforce Configuration Change traceability back to the IR ticket/case. Effectively communicate complex technical information to a variety of audiences.  Requirements: Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MBA with technical concentration or related field and 2 years of work experience in a related field including experience in a process engineering in a regulated industry.
